I bought Norton Ghost yesterday and performed the disk copy function but the comp wont boot up with new hard drive. I checked the box for set to active drive and copy MBR. I copied the system partition from my c drive to my E but when i turn off the comp after the process is over and unhook the old drive and jump the new one to master I get a boot disk error..cannot read from boot disk. I checked to make sure bios is recognizing the drive and it is.

Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

which version do you have 2003 or 2004?
how did you actually clone it. as a ghost image or straight file copy

I would use PM8 to do a hard drive copy. it is easier

i have the new 9.0 version. I believe its an image copy but not possative because the option just says "Copy" drive

Ghost

Make sure the partition is set to primary and active.
Try copying again and try some other settings or just make an image and restore it to the new disk.

you might have to extract that copy from the image.
it might be like a .gho files (they call it something else in ghost 9)
