My daughters computer has a problem with one of her cd drives. It keeps opening and closing by itself. She has tried most of the usual things I would of tried. Any ideas on what I should look for to fix this problem? I'm not sure if it is a cd write drive or not...actually it may be a dvd drive. Irregardless what do some of you guru's think about this one?

Yeah it's definitely a virus or Trojan. Back in the day I messed with a program called Sub7 that would do that exact thing, you could open and close their CD-Tray with the click of a button, flip their screen, print something, shut em down, whatever you want basically. So you DEFINITELY need to get your HD scanned and cleaned, and disconnected from the internet so personal information won't be taken

That 's more likely to be a trojan.
caution: you can live with spyware/adware and virii but trojans are too dangerous.!

Yes it was, I did some crazy things but it was generally to people I came across like this old dude who had child porn, I deleted his windows folder
Was indeed a crazy program, every victim I ever went into was an AOL user lol, I just did things jokingly though, never anything malicious except for child porn old dudeintercodes
