New gaming PC, first time buyer! help!.

Why are they selling you a 3rd gen rather than a 4th gen? Tell him you want a B85 board with an i5 4670 instead. Also, grab the 840 Pro SSD rather than the standard 840.

I would also NOT buy that no name PSU.

How much extra do you think this will cost me because I'm at my limit at the moment ?

And what psu you think I should get?

Thanks

Going to the cheaper B85 board and cheaper 4670 i5 (which is faster at games, it's a faster chip in general than the 3770) should save you about 100 or around there. The jump to the 840pro should only cost about 50. Should be within your limit.

As to the PSU, this is the cost of a Seasonic I typically recommend here. Idk how much their markup is though.

Is it this one? http://www.jw.com.au/seasonic-m12ii-850-ss-850am-850w-p-13913

I'm about to email him this

I'd like the b85 board with the i5 4670 and the 840 pro SSD rather than the standard.

And also add that psu to it. Ill calculate it myself I guess

Performance wise? Same thing?

Wide tech 750 watt psu? Is that the psu on the thing you were looking for or it's just a saying "no name" cause u never heard of it ?

No, the one you linked is 850w. You don't need anywhere near that. Get the 620 like I linked (which is an Aus site btw).

The 4670 will better than the 3770 for gaming. It's a faster chip in general.

As to the PSU, the Seasonic is of much better quality compared to the no name they are trying to sell you.

Edit: If you have to order from the JW site, then go with this option.

What's the board called in the quote? I don't know what a board is lol sorry

1654 after doing the i5 and PSU To the last one you linked to me, don't know what the "board" is on the quote though if you can look at the quote I got and tell me what it's called I can deduct the money and add the new ones price

They should know what a B85 chipset board is. Ask for a cheap Asus B85 motherboard.

Read last edit and http://www.jw.com.au/asrock-b85m-pro4-b85m-4xddr3-1pcie-30-6usb-30-6xsata3-p-14312

Or

Can you look at my quote and tell me what current board they have given me so I can deduct the price and add the new one you suggest.

Just to get this clear, with doing all this, it will perform the same as the original quote correct?

My last edit linked the ASRock, which is only 10 bucks more than the Asus B75 they had in the original quote.

As I said before, the 4670 will be faster than either the 3570 or 3770 at gaming as indicated in the benchmarks I showed you before.

Do I get unlocked i5 or normal :S

Thanks for the help. The price is only 32$ extra but it's 1698 with all them specs.

To my understanding this setup is BETTER for gaming than the original quote?

Thanks a lot PP ! Ill call the guy tommorow to make sure he understands it all haha.

Get a normal for two reasons. The B85 boards are cheaper and don't allow overclocking, and if you don't plan to overclock it's pointless in getting a K chip.
