Hi, I need some help with cooling my computer. When I'm gaming or doing something CPU intensive for a long period of time, say a 2 or 3 hours my computer overheats and crashes.
Here are my specs.
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 EVO
CPU: AMD Fx 4100
GPU: Asus Ati Radeon 6850
RAM: (Crucial 4GB) x4, 16GB total
HD: Seagate 500 GB
Power Supply: Antec 650W
Case: Thermaltake Armor A60
Now, I've read that the Radeon 6850 is a really warm graphics card so I leave the case door off all the time. And I use compressed air cans to keep the dust out every week.
I think that the culprit is the CPU which is only cooled via a heatsync with a fan. But I'm not sure if its the graphics card either after reading that it's a hot running card.
According to Speedfan these are my temps:
Temp 1: 67C
Temp 2: 32C
Temp 3: -128C
GPU: 46C
I think that temp 1 is my CPU but I'm not totally sure. If that is the case, what kind of liquid cooling unit would you recommend?
Thanks,
CPR
