Video Card

At this time I have an LCD monitor. I am using a readon 8500 64mb video card with DVI. A friend offered to give me (for free) a 128mb PNY (not sure of model) video card NO DVI. What is the difference? Should I stay at 64 w/dvi or go 128 w/o dvi??

If your gonna be playing games, go for the 128. That's my 2 cents.

DVI or D-SUB wont bring any differene on ur usual PC performance. but 128MB sure will.

this DVI is helpful in such a way as when recording digital media (as its Digital port), it keeps file sizes down. else no difference in both. you arent into recording digital media from outer source, or are you?

No, just looking for the best possible picture, use the computer for a lot of digital pictures (editing and such) I like to watch streaming video as well....

Sounds like I should replace the dvi for the extra 64mb?

Thanks for the responses. THe other card is a PNY NVIDIA GEFORCE 5200 128mb....

yea its free , if you dont like it swap them back .
