Hey all, need a disk repair tool more robust than the native windows reformatting tool or even Partition Magic. I have a hard drive that has lost the partition tables due to a triple pass encryption that corrupted in the middle of the second pass. Currently, the drive is recognized, but windows just says that it needs to be formatted to use. I have come to terms that the large amount of information on the drive is hopelessly lost, I just need something that will rebuild the drive. I have heard the term before "writing zero's to the HDD", is this a good option for completly wiping the drive and starting from scratch? I don't mind all the footwork required, just don't know how to go about doing what I am trying to do. Once again, thanks for the replies in advance!
