I have a sata hd and i want to install an ide hard drive with dos on it . The system has two ide dvd drives,so i could use one of them. But i dont know how to set it up

Is there some software on that ide drive that you need? I personally wouldn't bother to attempt to setup a dual boot system with a DOS drive.

An alternative would be to install DOSBox which can run DOS software on your machine without the need to reboot.

If you need DOS itself rather than DOSBox... why not just run it in a VM? Would be loads easier than trying to get int working on newer hardware.

Why not use a virtual machine? Then you can install programs onto it still and do everything you would normally be able to. Is there a specific reason you need to install it onto the drive?
