Replacing G2020 with i7-3770k, will this CPU cooler still work?

Hi everyone!

Ok, I discovered I needed a better CPU for my new dedicated security rig. Tiger Direct was selling them today for only $287, so I ordered one of them.

My question is, replacing G2020 with i7-3770k, will this CPU cooler still work?

I will NOT be over clocking at all.

My present CPU cooler is a modified Alpine 7 PRO [I cut 5/8 inch off the top].

The rig has excellent air flow.

Well, what do you think? Will it work?

I attached pics taken before I replaced the poor PSU.

Ok, I suppose I will slap it in and see what happens. CCTV experts are saying I should average about 60% CPU usage after I fine tune 8-10 HD cameras on this system.

My understanding is the i7-3770k only has heat issues if I overclock...which I will not do.

Considering you have way more fan power than the stock cooler one can assume it'll be fine.
