My name is Mikes and I'm new to IT, other than your average tinkering with PCs. I'm studying for the A+ cert right now. I'm currently in the Health Information field (Medical Coding and Billing) and looking to work my way into the HIT department here at some point.
I'm getting into this relatively old (36) but I've been doing my own upgrades, installs...ect for quite a while now. While I'm not a trained tech I tend to be the guy everyone I know calls when they have a PC problem.
I will probably look into some other certs as well after I get my A+.
