Failed BIOS Flash Update 6.3.9 Whats your Opinion?

Toshiba Satellite L3050D-S5895
Windows 7
Upgraded all drivers last thing i did was the BIOS (I should of just left it alone -.-)
Bios failed update. Price of laptop online is like 50$

On power up

1. Hard drive spins
2. Power Light
3. (Fn light works)
4. No display
5. No sounds (other than HDD and Fan)

What would you do in this scenario?

Yeah, check your external display port but chances are you bricked it. The mobo that is.

This is why you should only update your BIOS if you're actually experiencing issues that a new BIOS would fix.

If you can't get an external display working like suggesting (not likely to work IMO), then you've most likely bricked your motherboard and would need to replace the board.

You can also try re-setting the bios by removing the cmos battery for a while but the chances are slim. I have heard of placing another good bios chip on top of the chip with the bad flash, that will get you to the option to re-flash the chip. But....seeing as this is a laptop, even if you could get a second chip...it would be very difficult to do

If you have no standing warranties I would suggest if your willing to to take it apart and flash the bios by removing the CMOS battery. It's worth a shot in my opinion if all it's going to do is sit there and act as a fancy paperweight you really have nothing to lose.
