SP1 Woes

I finally managed to get my other hard drive to boot - so i installed XP then SP1; upon reseting windows refuses to start up at all; i get a menu that allows safemode options but the computer resets itself automaticaly

i have done SP1 installations before; this was the first time i told it not to creat a backup of the old files; could that have been it?

I've told it to not create a backup to save space and it worked for me. did you install sp1 from update?

Try a repair with the XP disc
