Server Used as CPU?

I've heard a bunch of people use this chip as a gaming chip as well under newegg feedback. is there any down fall using a server chip as a desktop chip?

It's slower than a 3570k and more expensive. Pointless.

That's because it has HT. Thing is, the 3570k and 3770k can overclock. This cannot.

If you don't want to overclock it's way cheaper than a 3770k and basically same performance. If you do, the 3570k is a better buy.

ahhh yea I'm not a over clocker really. I like stock speeds usally im a simple kinda guy
