Hard drive disappearing randomly

definitely try another SATA cable, I know the odds are slim that two SATA cables could be bad...but I've heard of stranger things and you never know....
Try a long test and see what those results are, Also can you put another drive in it? It can help determine if it's the port/controller or the drive
