Opinions on 3tb-4tb external drives?

are 3tb and 4tb external drives as reliable as 2tb?

when they first came out i saw nothing but mixed and bad reviews on 3tb and up

i just need something as reliable..right now i have several 2tb western digital elements

so would like opinions on 3tb-4tb drives

I wonder about the bad reviews on 3TB as you said.

I am using WD 3TB external one for more than 8 months and having no problem yet.

Don't depend on reviews, I have seen many people leaves bad reviews on product/service even they are extremely satisfied.

I have a 3TB and a 4TB external (and 2x1TB and 2x1.5TB internal) Seagate drives and haven't had any trouble with them. The only issue I ran into was formatting the 4TB drive was a bit wonky.

Shouldn't be any different. The bad reviews were probably people being idiots with the 3TB+ support.

Only issue is if you are putting it on USB 2.0 it'll be real slow.
