Ok so my friend may be getting a PC but doesn't want to spend more than a lot more than £550. I threw together a build quickly while he was round and this is what I came up with. He doesn't need a monitor but needs a keyboard and mouse. He will be gaming on it.
Case: AVP Defender 200 K1 Black Midi Gaming Case Black.. | Ebuyer.com

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz Socket AM3.. | Ebuyer.com
GPU: Sapphire HD 7850 OC Edition 2GB Dual DVI HDMI.. | Ebuyer.com
PSU: Corsair 600W CX Builder Series 80 Plus Bronze PSU 3.. | Ebuyer.com
Windows 7 OEM: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium w/SP1 | Ebuyer.com
Hard Drive: Seagate 1TB Barracuda 3.5" SATA-III Hard Drive.. | Ebuyer.com
RAM: Corsair 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz Red Vengeance Memory.. | Ebuyer.com
DVD drive: Samsung SH-224BB SATA DVD Write Optical Drive | OEM | Ebuyer.com
Keyboard: Logitech K120 Keyboard - USB | Ebuyer.com
Mouse: Gigabyte M6900 7 button optical gaming mouse USB | Ebuyer.com
Total: £580. But will be able to get it under 550 by looking around for cheaper prices.
He chose the mouse, keyboard and case himself.
I went with a phenom because I'm not sure about the fx series. Maybe someone will change that, wasn't sure if an i3 would be better either. Anyways suggestions welcome
