Ive been a gamer of primarily along with digital graphics etc. I dont have a demand to game and need a crazy tank of a comp to do what i need it to do. My issue is my old cards are dead, GeForce7950 GT KO and my motherboard is that which is stated in the the title. I just would like a upgradable video card to choose that would match my system. Or would I need to update the processor etc.

You can run any video card you want on that motherboard, granted you have the PSU to push it. Performance bottlenecks at the CPU are to be determined by what CPU you have, and what games you want to play.
