HP Pavillon Dv5 - 1004 Screen flickers

Exactly as it says. Even when it boots up and I see the HP logo as BIOS runs and what not is it flickers and shakes. I updated the video card driver. Also checked Device Manager to see if windows saw any problems and everything seems fine. What could it be. Of course it's hardware. But not sure what exactly? Can anyone brain storm any ideas?

I would point to either screen or video card.

To test, connect to an external monitor, and see if it does the same thing on the external monitor.

If it does: video card is the issue.
If it doesn't: screen is the issue.

Before actually replacing the screen, I would open it up, and see if the connections are secure. It could just be a matter of a loose connection somewhere.
