Can anyone recommend me some inexpensive ram for this mother board

This ram is relatively cheap as it goes. Ram has been going up in price since the new year. DDR3 1600 2x4gb is what you want.

I built to rigs last week with the a 16gb and 32gb set.

I always have had great luck with G.Skill Ripjaws. I've owned a bunch of sets of it and it has always performed really well for the price they're asking.

Lower volts = lower load on CPU and better for it, no?

Lower volts just means slightly less wattage being used. Back in the day a lower volt higher speed kit of RAM meant more headroom for OC but these days it doesn't matter really. Long as the RAM is 1.65v or less it's all the same.

the voltage of your memory shouldn't affect your CPU at all but lower volt ram will run slightly cooler.. or should.
