XP Activation Question

I usually never have to re-enter the activation code for XP home when I reinstall, it just installs and runs.

some cd's do that, some don't

gateway's computer has someway of nowing in their bios so you won't have to activate

yes that is all you have to do is tell them off, they'll give it back to you

for the future if you refomat, copy the wpa.dbl file to cd first from the windows system 32 folder, and after you reformat, and install all your your drivers, put it back and you won't have to reactivate

that, and just to be safe there is usually a wpa.bak file that i back up too.

I've never back up that file and it still activates windows
