Hello everyone. I've decided to build my first desktop computer system. My main use of it will be playing games (such as battlefield 3) and doing a little programming. I have selected all the equipment I believe is necessary. I would like to receive helpful advice on whether the equipment I have chosen will work together and if it is a cost efficient set-up. The parts list I have supplied comes out to around the $900 region so any cheaper is always a nice thing. The only real issue I've had so far is not knowing what part I should buy to allow wireless internet connectivity. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

CPU: AMD FX4100
Motherboard: ASRock 970
Computer Case: CFI Prime 223, ATX Mid Tower Case
RAM: GSkill Ripjaws series 8GB 240 pin DDR3 1600
Video Card: Radeon HD 7950 3GB Sapphire
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F4 320GB
Optical Drive: Samsung DVD Burner 24x
PSU: FSP Group Booster x5 450W
OS: Windows 8

Network card: ?

Is there a reason you're wanting AMD? For 1000 Bucks you can get a nice Intel Core/GeForce GTX setup if wanted. That HDD seems a bit small too. Unless you already own a large SSD That 320GB Will get used up in absolutely no time, once you install The OS, a Few games and whatever you want to download, you'll probably be at it's limit. And are you sure you only want a 450W PSU? Something you never want to skimp on is the PSU. I don't know much about Radeon HD GPU's or anything about anything For that matter.. But I'm guessing like most high-end GPU's, That video card will probably require a minimum power of like 400W? I don't know For sure, I'm just guessing but you should probably upgrade that PSU. And can you elaborate more on what ASRock 970 That is? As in Extreme or Pro?

$920 but you can take off $40 in MIR
take another $10 off by typing in NEWCUSTOMER as a promocode which puts you at $870 in a few weeks.

if you could expand your budget just a tad more, you can afford an ssd, which will upgrade the one component that is holding you back, the harddrive.
