I bought a micro pc for a great deal knowing that it did not have a hard drive. I have hard drives so i figured i could just put one of them in it. When i went to do it though, the power cable fitting is smaller than what is on a normal desktop. Are their special made cords and hard drives for the small towers? if so, what cords and hard drive am i looking for?

The cable coming from the power supply, the fitting is smaller then what will fit in the hard drive. i am at work now but i will take a picture of it when i get home.

is this a SATA drive

it was the ide drive. speed wasnt a concern, thanks so much for your help. my only question is are there adapter cables to switch one to another?

There are adapters, but if the board doesn't have pata you'll be sol. Honestly your best bet is to pick up a cheap sata drive.

thanks. i did end up getting what i needen thru dumb luck, but that is good to know.
