New monitor issues

I have got a new monitor but the image looks stretched, It's set to 1920x1080, I've tried most of the resolutions upto that but they look stretched as well.

the monitor is a Crossover and it doesn't have a model number but Windows says it's WQX DVI if that's any help

Set the Windows screen resolution to the actual native resolution (the actual number of pixels in your display). You can probably find this out by looking through the documentation that came with your monitor.

+ Reinstall the latest video drivers.

have you installed the drivers?
if not, then install it.

just use the default driver first, if you are not having an issue with the updated drivers.
