Hey guys, I've been looking for a forum such as this one for awhile and looks like I finally found it. Anyway, I'm building my self a new PC for christmas. I have built two systems before and done upgrades and work on them so I am semi-experienced with such work. I have picked out all of my parts except for a hard-drive (because those are always on sale at stores) and my case.
Here is what I have so far for my PC:

ASUS "A8V Deluxe" VIA K8T800 Pro Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU -RETAIL
$130

AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 512K, L2 Cache, Socket 939 Windows Compatible 64-bit Processor - Retail
$290 (This is the Winchester core, slightly cooler, 90 NM instead of 130)
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-141-424&depa=1
Kingston 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - Retail
2x $78= $156
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-122-195&depa=1
Leadtek nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT Video Card, 256MB GDDR3, 256-Bit, TV-Out/DVI, 8X AGP, Model "A400 GT TDH" -RETAIL
$395.00
Hard-Drive
$100-150
Case
$50-120
Random stuff- Rounded cables, new heat-sink (if I need), etc.
$20-50
Total: Around $1250
The graphics card I am getting is pretty large (HUGE Heatsing), so I think I want a full tower case. I don't care much about windows or lights, I just want a good power supply and good ventillation, but I don't really want a SUPER expensive case or an ugly one. Maybe that's too much to ask, I don't know.
Do you think I should get a better CPU fan/heatsink and which one should I get?
Thanks,
