Budget Gaming PC

Hey guys, I'm in need of some advice please. I consider myself to be a huge gamer and I'm looking to buy a budget gaming PC. I've had a look at CyberPowerSystems, PcSpecialist and even DinoPC. I do reasonably well choosing components however as my knowledge is limited, I sometimes go by price comparison and item popularity.. And I wouldn't want to spend all that money and time and end up getting ripped off, or ordering the wrong parts for my needs. I have a budget of around £500-550 excluding Monitor, Keyboard and a Mouse etc. So that's roughly $700-800. The PC would be used for playing High Resolution games and on HD quality. I have an Xbox 360 so it wouldn't need to be top of the range and need to handle the high demands of playing games like Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield, WoW in HD etc. Mainly just downloadable games, such as Soldier Front, perhaps RuneScape etc. A few things that I know, or that I think I know is that for Gaming in HD and watching movies and videos in HD I'd need at least a NVIDIA 1GB 660 Ti or higher Graphics card, and 8GB of RAM. However I know both of those don't go cheap, and I'd rather settle for less and get a decent well-rounded budget gaming PC than have a superb Graphics Card and RAM, but have a bad CPU, Cooling and Power Supply etc etc.. Also Watching 720p/1080p HD videos and movies on Netflix, YouTube etc. And light web browsing, I.E Facebook etc etc. I do apologise for the length of this Thread.. You'll want stuff in this ballpark.

CPU:
Core i3 3220

GPU:
eVGA GTX 660ti

RAM:
8GB 1600MHz. Don't need any faster or any more.

PSU:
Seasonic Mk2 520w full modular or Corsair TX650

HDD:
Any size, Seagate or WD, 7200RPM.

The rest is really up to you to keep within budget.

Just for the record, you don't exactly need a 660ti to play the games you listed off, but it's a really good start. One thing to remember, 99% of all games are GPU bound so the i3 3220 is perfect for a budget rig.

Alright man, thanks a bunch, I'll be here. Being honest with myself I really don't know that much at all about hardware/components, so if you really wouldn't mind listing all the components I'd need to complete my PC that would be fantastic. Or if just the main components I'd need, then I'm sure I'll do fine picking out the not so important parts. Given my budget and wanting new parts I have to be realistic I guess. Whatever you think's good and will work is fine by me,

That seems fantastic, $750 is perfect, $750 is around £480 which is near enough the end of my budget, maximum I could go up to would be £525 which is roughly $820, as I still need a Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse, however I've already got all 3 planned out. Only issue is I'm from the United Kingdom and Newegg.com don't ship Internationally /: A few Computer Tech sites I've found are Computer Hardware - Scan.co.uk or PC Components, Desktop PCs, Laptops, LCD TVs & Computer Hardware or maybe Amazon.. I'll take note of all those components and search online for them though, massively appreciated. Another issue I have I guess it that I was originally going to order from Custom PC websites that build your custom PC For you, as I have no knowledge of how to build a PC either, but I would much rather get a decent gaming PC and just have to buy all the parts separately and build it myself than get a somewhat bad PC for value from a website, I'm sure I can find a few videos on YouTube on how to build a PC, or perhaps even help on the Forums.

OP you put $ as in USD but your location says UK. Can you confirm where you are located? I can link stuff from Scan instead.

That's what I was just trying to say hehe, however my comment was held for a Moderator to approve it, not sure why. If this comment doesn't get held then many thanks for your Feedback Veraster, I'll take note of all those parts and try search for them on the Internet, two Computer Tech sites I've found are scan.co.uk and novatech.co.uk However my only issue would be that I was originally going to buy from Cyberpower or a Custom PC website that pre-builds your PC, as I've got just about as much knowledge building computers as I do PC Tech.. But I'd rather buy individual parts and get a better quality PC for my money rather than buy from a website and get something worse, I'm sure YouTube or the Forums can help me building it. If you can try to piece together basically the same rig he linked on Scan. It should be around your budget in pounds.

Just make sure if anything the PSU is the same brand and model. If you want me to do it I can.

If you really wouldn't mind that would be fantastic, to be honest I don't really know what you mean by same PSU, It's entirely up to you, you both have been a huge help, knowing what components to buy and use, that I didn't know. But I'm sure I can try and find them on Scan now I have a list, but despite it being 03:20 I'm actually rather busy haha, so it's entirely up to you, would be greatly appreciated, however you have my respect either way.
