Modding MSI Frozr II

I used to zip tie heatsinks to cards back in the day and never had them get weak from it. Honestly I would just super glue them to the metal. Simple tug from a flat head will get the old fans right off and a fine grit piece of sand paper will get the excess super glue off.

Well this is what I came up with.

Fans are blowing on the card right now as that was the stock setup, but it was suggested to me that I turn them around for better cooling.

It's cooling pretty well as-is. 30c idle and 65c full-tilt.

opinions?

btdubz, this is super quiet now, even with the fans just running on full blast constantly. I'm really happy with the result.

Leave them as is. You always want GPU fans pushing cold air through the heatsinks. Most of it will go out the back which is what you want. Doing this also pushes cooler and more air through the VRAM and VRM.

That's what I thought.

It was actually HAVOC who suggested it so... I'll be sure to let him know how wrong he is. :)
