RAM upgrade

Hello,
I am looking to upgrade the RAM in my laptop. I found a great deal on 8 gigabytes of DDR3 at 1333MHz. My laptop has 4 gigabytes of DDR3 at 1334 MHz. Can I upgrade without damaging anything?

Go to www.crucial.com and use the system scanner. Just compare and contrast the specs of the RAM you found with the scan's result of the RAM you have. It'll pretty much tell you if the memory is compatible.

Windows 7. It opened, then automatically closed after about 0.5 seconds. I will try again in the morning. Thanks for the help!

A model number is easier to figure out whether you can use the RAM or not. If it has 2 slots and can support 8GB or higher odds have it you have a 90% chance of being able to run the new RAM.
