After doing a routine defrag today on a back up drive, I restarted my computer and when I went back to the disk management utility, that particular partition I just defraged was showing up as raw and no file table associated with it. So I rebooted a second time and Windows did an automated scan on that drive and proceeded to boot up. I went back into the disk management utility and now I have a NTFS formatted partition that is empty (300+ gigs of data gone). Anyone ever seen anything like this before? The hard drive I have is fairly new and it passed all the SMART tests.
