New Hard Drive!

Do you play ALL 80 Steam games at once? Just delete the local content of the ones you don't play or keep your Steam games on the 500GB. I just went through and deleted all but 2 games on my Steam list that was hogging over 200GB worth of space and I have 8TB to play with. If you delete the local content you can still download it again later.

use the internal SSD for the operating system, appliactions like VLC media player, chrome, dvd burner program, skype, team view and other various applications and just a few games installed on your internal SSD. then put everything else, like picutres, movies, tv shows the files for your games ( steam account ) on your external hard drive.

It's the same except limited to USB2 or 3 bus. The only downside to external drives are some programs don't like to install to them. If you move your whole Valve folder to it then run Steam from that folder it'll work though.
