Connecting Speakers with a different input

Yeah i know but i really want to make use of my subwoofer, its much more powerfull and bigger than a standard pc one. Oh well in about 5 months im getting a home cinema system with an receiver so i might be able to plug it in to that. Then i will also buy my self a 5.1 system for my pc. Thank you for the answers

If you are buying a home cinema system, if you have a decent reciever and sound card, just connect using an optical spdif cable.... Making use of that subwoofer will make you end up purchasing a very expensive receiver....
