Certain keys won't work properly without I hit them very hard...namely 'g', 'h' and 'back space/delete'.

This is incredibly frustrating and prevents me from working properly. The problem might stem from when a new hard disk was installed in September.

I'm using a Compaq Armada m700 laptop. (Windows 2000).

Would appreciate any suggestions you might 'ave.

Tanks in advance...

keyboard keys can be removed. just pop them off with something. most computer toolkits have a special tool for this. after that take a pen and jab the stopper inside the keyhole. have a txt editor open and in focus so you can see the text appear. then pop the key back on

followed your instructions to the letter and they have improved the problem keys a lot!! They still stick a little but are certainly a lot better. A very simple recipe for a really irritating problem.

Would be interesting to know why this problem occurred in the first place - dust ?

Anyway, thanks very much for your help :)
