Need advice on a build

Hey guys. I'm looking to build a PC within the next 3 months. I started looking around at parts. But since it's been 6 years since I've built a PC, I know things have changed. I'm a little rusty on the logistics.

I would appreciate it if you guys could look at my build below and give me some information:

1). Is everything compatible?

2) This is going to strictly be a gaming PC. So I would like the best possible performance towards that end.

3) After coming up with the build below, I'm still about $300 under budget. So if you guys notice something that I can swap out for an upgrade, please let me know. or if you just happen to see an item that you think won't be as efficient as something else you might suggest, let me know.

4) In the past when building, I used Arctic Silver 5 compound for the processor heat sink. Is this still the best to use? Or is there a better alternative?

Otherwise, I just want to make sure that this is going to be an efficient, high performance machine which can be upgraded in the future.

Strictly gaming build?

Drop the 3770k for a 3570k, drop the 16GB for 8GB, and get yourself a 680.
I would also swap out that Rosewill PSU for a Corsair TX650m.
Finally, I would get a better quality SSD as well.

If you plan to OC I would drop the huge hunk of metal and get an H80 or H100.

Thanks so much for the advice. I've made some adjustments in my build based on your suggestions.

Yes this is strictly a gaming PC. I'm not planning on OCing. I'm curious about the water cooling but have never dealt with it before. Is it very difficult to install and maintain?

If you don't plan to OC then you can simply use the stock cooler. There isn't a reason to have aftermarket cooling if you don't OC.

To answer your question, no it's actually easier and much less strain on your motherboard. There is no maintain, just blow the dust off the rad like you would a normal heatsink.
On that note to your question in the OP, I still use AS5. There are "better" options but if you are familiar with it might as well use it.
