New build memory issue

Hi there I just put together a new build with a Biostar Tz77B motherboard and an i5 3.1ghz and 8 gigs of kingston ram that are supposed to be running at 1600 mhz. Cpu-z however says they are at 667 which I believe is x2 which is still only 1333. Why is this happening?

You will not notice the difference from 1333MHZ to 1600MHZ...
Thats all I can say, someone else here I am sure can help you with your problem. I think it has something to do with your FSB(Front side Bus)

go into bios and set it up yourself.
a lot of manufactures like to use 1333mhz as default since it is more compatible with most motherboards than 1600mhz.

You have to set the XMP profile or set the RAM multiplier in the bios for 1600MHz.
