Hi. Which computer is better a single core with a 2.4ghz processor or a dual core with 1.8ghz

I'm a gamer and choosing between two computers. Can anyone help?

the dual core will be better in most cases.

by the way, video game performance is more dependent on video cards than CPUs.

A dual core is better for high performance such as gaming or with servers and the single core is more for just basic needs of accessing the internet or checking email.

Hi multi cores are good for multitasking because anything with more then one core is that each core is dedicaded to a differant purpose if your playing games then a dual core would be better because it takes up less strain on the core anyway dual core or quad core would be better thanks for your question from yours trully tech expert specialist good day.

More then one core also implements multi treading less strain more transsisters the better.

Besides it is more depending on gpu's then anything but everthing works together.

A off line game is more reliing on processors a online browser game relys on there server
and, the graphics are the same they depend on you video card 1g or more is better for awesome gaming graphics.
