Power supply killed or whole computer killed?

Hey all,

I am about to cry, seriously. I just built my new mod pc a couple days ago. Then today, when i was playing battlefield 1942. The case went POP!. I am not sure what happened. The monitor still works. Neither are connected to a surge protecter. Please help me. Does it mean the power supply broke or everything? Because I got the power supply and case for 60 bucks. Could be a cheap ass powersupply. Please HELP!

At $60 bucks for a PSU and case...I'd say that it was cheap. Can you be a bit more specific with the scenerio? The case poped and...what? Did the comp shut down or something?

On top of that... what happens now when you turn it on?

Check if the PSU works. Check for the HD leds etc. Any activity?

Ok not a big deal,

It was a piece of shit powersupply, made by some taiwenese people(go figure) No damage to components. Ran memtest, and had the motherboard recoqnize everything. So I went out and bought a 100 dollar power supply to celebrate

yea sounds like a PS thats the signature "BANG " and you jump out of your seat lol .
