Main difference is how much RAM it will allow you to use. HP is limited to 16GB.

Cool. I'm thinking I can probably get an OP from work for free. All of our operating systems are purchased and used on Dell 990's.. Not sure if that makes a difference or not..

OS will be the same long as it's Windows 7. You can go with Windows 8 if you decide you can handle the lame sauce that is the Metro UI.

One good thing if you go for a bigger more durable and sturdy case, it is very reusable. Where your components in your pc may become obsolete or outdated your case is more future proof so that way you can use it more than one time if need be. When I build a of I use a high end case so I can reuse it for longer.
