I was wondering if you think that a 500 watt PSU is enough fir the following:
9 to 11 fans
3 to 4 fans
dual PCI express 6800 GT's or Ultra's (NF4 SLI!!)
2 to 3 CD/DVD drives
floppy drives
other stuff...

Will 500 watts suffice, or should I look for 600 watts?
Thanx

PS- Poaching someones wireless from the sailboat in the Bahamas! lol

Um..I think that should be fine seeing as how I have a 420 Watt and alot of stuff including a 6800 GT myself.

Is there any way to figure out exactly what amount of each rail that a specific device uses? Examples such as a video card, fans and everything else.

Um...how are you going to compare your system with a nforce4 SLI based board? You don't even know how much power that would consume. He's going to be having TWO of those cards if he winds up getting that, plus he plans on having a lot of fans I take it, therefore he WOULD need that extra power.

This is a little older site, but should still guide you into figuring out exactly how much usage of each rail what component uses.
