What do I upgrade first?

Hey guys. Here's my setup:

AMD Phenom X4 955 BE
GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 motherboard
PowerColor 1GB HD6850
Kingston 8GB RAM
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 32MB cache 7200RPM
Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 600W
LG 18.5" monitor

The first thing I want to consider is getting a 21.5" monitor. I know the hike in resolution will translate to lower frames so which part I should upgrade first for the best performance increase? I mostly play LoL and I like putting in a few hours for new single-player RPG titles as well.

GPU for sure. 955 is still rather plenty for anything today.

Depending on what GPU though I would reconsider the PSU.

GPU If you board supports it just crossfire another 6850. If it doesn't, jump up to at least the 6870 series.

what resolution are you playing your games at now?

i agree with PP, if you were to upgrade your graphics card to either a 650ti, 660ti, 7850 or a 7870 you would be loving life... and a 600W psu, so long as its a decent one, would run that just fine..

Not sure the 650TI would be worth the money for the performance gains, I'd sli another 6850 for the best option if not sell the 6850 after you buy another card at least.

Crossfire the 6850 or sell it and buy a 7870/7950

Not worth the Crossfire as he would need a new PSU. Buying the second card and new PSU would mean he could afford the better card to begin with.
