Windows 8 or Custom

I am looking for a new operating system for a while and I came to getting Windows 8 or I can code my own operating system because I am learning C(I know c++). I have a really good idea for my own operating system. Tell me if I should code my own operating system or use Windows 8.

Uh, good luck coding your own operating system. You should probably use Windows unless you're better than Microsoft's team of software engineers that have had years and years of experience.

It took Anon a long, long time to make a FLAVOR of linux, let alone a ground-up OS.
