windows 2k startup programs

Hi

I run Win2k and have a problem. When my desktop is loading I get a message saying cannot load am.exe.
I have searched the registry for any reference to this file but have found none.

Anybody help?

There are several programs that use the filename AM.EXE, but I ran across one that is a keylogger. If you don't remember installing any programs called AM.EXE, perhaps someone has installed this keylogger on your computer in order to monitor your activity...

Thanks for that. I have recently uninstalled a Primax Colorado Scanner. I have searched the resistry and removed all references to it. I will have a look at key loggers.
