This video gives a little insight to what I want to do and ultimately what I will be doing soon. Kingpin uses the X79 platform and some hand picked cards and CPUs along with his blocks to smash some 3DMark11 records. Needless to say, this guy is my hero.

When he isn't doing an eVGA sponsored event he does. Typically, most CPUs used don't die.

Oh, I thought he always was able to use hardware from them. I meant more the cards though, I'm so reluctant to clock my cards at all.

Imagine having the LN2 though, that'd be insane!

It is insane. The only thing that really kills the cards and parts is condensation. If you can keep all moisture away from the electronics they usually come out ok. He only went through 2 boards and 2 980x's at Quakecon 2010. Considering he was running LN2 on the parts 4 days straight I'd say not too bad.
When going for records by himself he uses money out of his own pocket like any other clocker.

Where do you even buy liquid nitrogen?

Off the internet of course. You can sometimes get free LN2 in Stanley containers from local hospitals and such. That's rare though.

For a lesser cooling but more available, you could use a high concentration of IPA mixed with dry ice.
