Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB SATA 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Hard Drive OEM-74.99 NCIX

So this total comes to 901... i dont need windows or anything.. Whats a better build for around 700-800? How are the MSI mobos, it was between that and the ASRock both had bad reviews on bent pins though. Also should i drop the 660 down to a 570ti for cost whats the performance difference like?

For just games, you really only need a i3. A Nehalem i5 would be more than enough power for you. Maybe even getting a cheaper case should be an option if you want to save all the money you can.

I'm not sure about the performance between those two nvidia gpus (I don't keep track of these video cards) but this might help:

You can drop the i5 for an i3 3220 if this is strictly for games so you can get a 660ti and 8GB of RAM.

The 660 and 660ti are both faster than the 570 and mostly the 580 as well.

Ya the computer will be 50 percent games 50 percent streaming a movie or internet via HDMI. Not looking at video or picture editing or anything like that i just want a stable good machine that maybe i can drop 300$ in to 5-6 months down the line to get more up to par. How is the Mobo? Any preferences in that price range?
