Hello,

I got two blue screens of death yesturday after trying to install my new video card, it worked fine for 20 minutes after installation of driver's and then I started doing my own thing, (no games, just browsing chrome and using microsoft word), and then BOOM crash. So I took it into computer shop, he plugged it into his stuff, ran a bunch of video programs on it, ran two monitors (just as I had done), and no crash after 30 minutes of him testing...

I think it is my PSU, he thinks its something else. Here is some Data, what do you guys think.

Video card currently in place: Intel HD Graphics
Video Card I tried to replace it with (currently have it in the box beside me):

This just the first crash, but the second is pretty much the same...

I believe my PSU is Coolermaster high efficiency 420W power supply with 120mm fan

What do you guys think the problem is?

What do you guys think the problem is?

Go to nvidia's website and see if they have a new driver update for your GT640.
When you installed the card, was your cpu vcore or oc settings high ?
If so reduced it back to factory defaults and save it.

I looked at your codes here and it sounds like you have a bad driver from the original cd/dvd installation disk.

Well the 3450 can't be OC, and, i will reduce the Vcore, reinstall the drivers...

I actually noticed this morning my start-up and program manager wasn't working, and Intel/Splash were just running wild with my resources, I have no idea if it was yesturday, but these programs just gobble up my resources. So i disabled pretty much everything for startup, crossing my fingers...

If you want tell me which programs you have at startup.
I would only have the antivirus, windows 6 firewall, any lightweight mesaging program loaded.
If its anything like gadgets or popup stoppers or even steam or game stop you can have them not start up by tweaking it in the preferences.

If you have more than 8 items starting up with windows, yes sir, it will bring you down shortly.
Let me know what happens. ;)

OK so after a couple hours this morning messing around with it, I finally, I decided to just leave it open on my desk instead of on the floor, I look over and the CPU fan isn't even working!!! I have my power settings to keep it on active, i turned off a coupel of the intel solutions, including business management and i believe, the data one that came standard with my computer, I do not know what has happened, I cannot turn my computer on atm due to it being so freaking hot...

How can I ensure that the fan is on? I am still waiting for my computer to cool before I can do anything, since I have yet to give it an attempt myself seeing that about 5 minutes after I looked at my temperature, and noticed the fan, it crashed in the middle of a fairly massive document I hope is still there...

So i will try windows power management, and look around for an intel one if i didn't deactivate it (with pretty much everything else intel since they are just processor *****s)...

Yea no games at all on this computer, startup is very very basic with firewall, and outlook

Ok, fan still wont turn on, I updated BIOS (motherboard), everything looks fine, just the intel cooling fan will not turn on with the processor plugged in... not sure what to do

So I unplugged my chassis fan, tried rebooting with video card in, CPU fan still didn't turn on...

plugged CPU fan into chassis fan slot, chassis fan was still unplugged, video card still plugged in, CPU fan still did not turn on...

BIOS, video card, intel, all up to date...
