First, I would consider upgrading the PSU. Raidmax is about the worst you can get. You are endangering your entire system. Look at Corsair TX650 or similar. It will last you many upgrades.

Secondly, PCI-e 2.0 is back compatible with PCI-e 1.0, so you have nothing to worry about. But if you wanted a new motherboard, like with more features perhaps, I would look at getting a 1155 socket board. It's more up to date than what you have. Albeit, you have to get new DDR3 RAM and CPU.

I would upgrade that card to something like a GT 440 or something. Unless you have the money and can afford a 550Ti or 560Ti.

What's your budget and location?

Your board has 16x 1.0a slots which are essentially the same speed as an 8x 2.0 slot. Most cards besides the 680 and 7970 will run fine on that actually.

If you want a newer board you will have to look for used or "new" P45 or X48 boards on Ebay or online that has 2.0 slots as retailers do not sell those boards anymore. Either that, or you have to upgrade entirely.

As was already said, if you want to purchase a newer GPU like a 560ti, 670, 7950 or whatever the card will run fine in your current slots, but you will need to upgrade your PSU. Actually, I advice on that either way.
