Internet Help!!

Ok whatever happen I dont know, but I cant go on the internet. I have broadband...cable. In Network settings, under status it says its sending info but its not recieveing info. I got Windows XP Pro, but for some reasons System resotre doesnt work. It says that it cant not be restored... I WANT MY INTERNET BACK!!!!!!!!! Plez Help!!! THANX

unplug cable modem. unscrew coaxle cable. plug in modem. wait till lights settle. screw in coaxle cable. wait till lights settle. try to connect

Even tho thats normally the problem its not. Im using a computer that is connected to tht connection. Only problem is its not mine and has to go back on Monday. See these computers are running on a router, I even try just to stand alone the connection to see if it was a problem with the router its not. And this computer goes out on the internet fine! Soo...any other suguestions? Thanx!

what abt the usual stuff ? spyware/adware/virii? any? scanned for them?
They sometimes block your internet connection completly.
