Help this happens every time i try to launch a steam game on my new laptop!!

My computer (a toshiba satalite C875d-S7225) has:
6 GB RAM
an A6 processer which tops out at around 2.7-2.8 GHz
an AMD Radeon HD 7520G it? (does it need an update or anything because this is literally a brand new computer)

Make sure you have ran Windows update
Close all other programs except Steam
Make sure you have updated all your drivers
Make sure you have downloaded Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (From Microsoft.com)
Make sure you have downloaded C++ Redistributable (From Microsoft.com)
Make sure you are running the latest version of DirectX (From Microsoft.com)

i tried all this and still no luck :/ (i didnt know what you mean by a windows update)

Think he meant to make sure you got all your updates. To to your start menu, type in Windows Update and see if it pops up. Run it and see if there is any update to be installed or if any is pending.

 

I just reinstalled Windows...gotta lot updates to go .

Go into the game properties in Steam (right click the game in the game list) and verify game integrity (or something.. I forgot what it's exactly called)

if that doesn't work, completely uninstall Steam and run CCleaner and reinstall it.

Do you not have an ISO with SP1 already installed? Saves a lot of time, especially when you're on a slow connection.

Yup, it was already installed when I took the screenshot but since it was totally a fresh install and the ISO is kinda backdated...still had a lot of updates to go .
