I recently purchased a 9800gt off of ebay. The card itself seems to work fine but the heatsink/fan seems to have some issues. Sometimes the fan won't spin up and I'll have to manually spin it a few times before it goes on its own. And when I finally get it going, sometimes it will randomly stop spinning and won't spin up again. I an in the process of getting a new heatsink and fan but I am pretty cheap and also think this might be a fun project. Could I repair the fan? How would I test to know if its the motor, bearings or what? and Would anyone have a guide on something like this? Thank you!
