I downloaded and ran 3DMark06 just to see what my score would be before sticking in the 9800GT (low power)
5129 with the 7800GTX
4539 with the 9800GT
How is this possible?
Other specs:
E6600 2.4
4GB DDR2 800
Both GPUs use the same drivers but just to be sure I removed the other drivers through control panel, Driver sweeper, and Driver Cleaner.
The ONLY thing that is different is that for some reason the 9800GT wont boot through the first PCIE slot (The monitor wont come on) but works fine in the other one. The 7800GTX works in both PCIE slots.
Another thing...after running 3DMark06 with the 9800GT it says the Drivers for it arnt an approved version. I tried reinstalling the drivers again and its the same problem. Im getting the drivers from Nvidia.com and when installing the drivers I made sure to select Clean install and everything...
Im truly puzzled...
