Intel® 915G Express Chipset Replacement Suggestions

Have a Dell Optiplex280 want to upgrade the processor what options would I have? Could upgrade to the glass of a Intel Sandybridge or equivalent? If not what is the best I can do>? debating buying a new box...

No. No. Honestly, the best route would be a new server. That one has a P4 in it. Let's put it this way: You would have to upgrade the Motherboard, RAM, and CPU, and the OS. You're better off just buying/building a new one. There are probably a few upgrades you could make to it, but the performance difference would be minimal and not worth the money, IMHO.
