Help configuring the SSD I just bought

Unless you do the driver install / system file tweak that I mentioned earlier. I've done it before on a couple systems just to see if it would work, and it worked fine.

Reviving this thread to help trouble shoot. So I'm in a situation where either my mobo is crapping out on me or it is this SSD. Do I have to switch back to pcide to boot from my hdd? And I'm assuming I have to format?

If your old drive still has your old install on it then no format required. If that install was done using IDE/SATA mode then yes you would have to switch the setting back.
