Which one of these 2 builds is better?

I want a gaming desktop that is able to run all of the latest games and more advanced games that will come out in the future smoothly and efficiently (I don't want any lag in my frame rates or anything like that while i'm running my games) and was wondering which one of these builds would better meet that requirement.

First build:

Please let me know which one of these builds would be better suited for my gaming requirements or if you think neither is good feel free to suggest a whole new build that you think would be better or if you have a better alternative for just one or two parts in either of these builds just let me know which part you think would be better.

Eh, could have used your own thread.

Stock for stock in just gaming the rig I made will be better simply because clock for clock the 3770k is faster than the SB-E chips on the x79 platform.

If you substitute the 680 into the rig I made then it is the superior computer for just gaming. The X79 platform really has no purpose in general computing. And to be quite honest, you wont get any lag with the rig I put together with either the 670 or 680. If funds aren't a problem then by all means go ahead and grab the X79 platform, but I reduced the price from 5000+ to about 1200 thinking that you didn't want to spend that much cash.

The SSD I put down is better, the HDD for storage I put is faster, the PSU I listed is better quality (as 1000w is overkill), and the case is just preference.
 
Ok, thanks man. I was just recommended another build on a different forum and had no idea as to which one was better, thanks for clearing that up for me!
